The Flood Control and Water Conservation District has an opportunity for a Senior Engineering Technician who will be assigned to the Right of Way Engineering Section in Riverside. In the office setting, the incumbent in this position will perform a variety of professional tasks that include but are not limited to the following: managing a variety of Right of Way Engineering projects with an emphasis on budget and time management, performing complex sub-professional survey work of a technically specialized nature in connection with surveying, and the checking and preparation of records of surveys, corner records, maps, and plans. Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of local surveying principles, rules, and regulations, as outlined in the California Land Surveyors Act, and thorough knowledge of local surveying principles. The most competitive candidates will have strong intrapersonal skills in dealing with the public, contractors, inspectors, engineers, and fellow staff members. Experience surveying for a government entity, and experience with the full Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Bentley Produces, and Autodesk Civil 3D drafting platforms.
