Survey Mapping Technician

We are seeking a motivated individual who is seeking a long-term career in Land Surveying. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing survey maps including tract maps, parcel maps, easement exhibits, dedication exhibits, ALTA Surveys, Lot Line Adjustment exhibits, etc. and prepare closure calculations. The ability to write legal descriptions is desirable.

The mapping technician will have extensive responsibilities. Some but not all include:
• Complete survey mapping projects within contracted budgets and timeframes.
• Maintain project files and include all notes, communications, research and supporting documents.
• Prepare Survey deliverables and ensure quality control.
• Analyze and interpret public records research including deeds, plans and other relevant project documents.
• Prepare surveying calculations for boundary closures.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of land survey mapping, including legal requirements, boundary determinations, and ALTA requirements.
• Knowledge of local subdivision and zoning requirements.
• Thorough understanding of the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Communicate effectively both orally and written.
• Results-driven with the ability to function independently and multi-task.
• Able to pivot, focus and manage time well, ensuring deadlines are met.
• High attention to detail, resourcefulness, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude, and is solutions oriented.
• Collaborative and dedicated to serving team members and clients.
