Calling all Survey Technicians!

The County of Riverside's Transportation Survey Department has an opportunity for a Senior Survey Technician who will be assigned to the Geodetic Division located in Riverside. The incumbent in this position will prepare drawings from deeds and field measurements, establish property boundaries, do research on parcels, preliminary title reports and plot easements. Additionally the incumbent will process field topos and create 3-D surface models.
The Department seeks candidates with survey work experience doing drafting, subdivision designs and mapping for land development. The most competitive candidates will have experience with Public Lands surveys and have knowledge of the Professional Land Surveyors' Act (PLS Act) and Subdivision Map Act (SMA) and possess a valid Land Surveyor-in-Training certification issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
OPTION I
Experience: Four years of sub-professional survey experience, at least one year of which must have been at a level equivalent to a County of Riverside Engineering Technician II. (College courses from an accredited college or university in surveying or geomatrics or closely related subjects to the assignment such as land surveying, soils erosion, soils testing, blueprint reading, mathematics, computer graphics, or hydrology may substitute for up to two years of the non-specialized experience on the basis of 12 semester or 18 quarter units equaling one year of the required full-time experience.)
OPTION II
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in surveying engineering or geomatrics.
Experience: One year of sub-professional survey experience equivalent to a County of Riverside Engineering Technician II.
OPTION III
Certificate: Valid Certificate as Land Surveyor-in-Training issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
Experience: Two years of sub-professional engineering experience.
