Stockton Chiseled Crosses Project: Photos From October 6 Field Work

Post by Sunburned_Surveyor »

My three (3) hard working LSIT volunteers completed the first half of a conventional traverse around 26 blocks of Old Stockton last Saturday. You can see the photos from our field work here:

We will hopefully complete the traverse on November 2, if you want to come and help. :]

After the traverse is complete we will begin the work of location the approximately 60 chiseled crosses in the 26 block area.

The LSIT volunteers have taken care of the majority of the work on this project so far, including project planning, data organization, control network planning, and the actual execution of the field work. They've done a great job so far.

Commendable project Landon. Make sure that those LSITs are keeping experience log books and that you sign off for them on the days they've participated. Good experience for them.

those positions are so valuable Great job.

Are they using CHW old field notes ?

P.S. if you see a "D Harris" on the notes (with G Hennis), that was my uncle Don.

He really enjoyed working with George and Charlie way back then.
