Land Surveyors Week March 16th - 22nd

Land Surveyors Week will be observed March 16th - 22nd. CLSA Chapters and Members are encouraged to help celebrate Land Surveyors week by promoting the profession in your local communities.

Ideas for promoting Land Surveyors Week:
  • Press release to local newspapers. Attached is an article prepared by Kurt Lehnhardt. Feel free to add local information and submit to your local news outlets.
  • Request proclamations from local government. Attached is a sample proclamation.
  • Classroom presentations
  • Outreach to community groups
Please report your activities to the CLSA Central Office by email to clsa@californiasurveyors.org. Include pictures when possible.

NGS will host a webinar tomorrow where the GPS on Bench Marks campaign for National Surveyor's week will be discussed. Here is the info if you are interested:

During this meeting various speakers from the National Geodetic Survey will discuss the 2014 GPS on Bench Marks Campaign. NGS encourages anyone with survey-grade Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers to join this National Surveyors Week (March 16-22) event to raise awareness about professional surveying while improving the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS). NGS speakers will discuss why and how to participate.
