The Survey Analyst is responsible for performing technical work in survey control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way engineering, and construction surveying services for public and private clients.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provide office survey support to the field crews.
• Responsible for record mapping, ALTA maps, parcel maps, and topographic surveys.
• Prepare maps, record research, and field crew prep.
• Work closely with Survey Manager and Project Surveyor.
• Perform research, design and calculations for survey and mapping projects using AutoCAD.
• Operate standard survey equipment in the field such as Total Stations, GPS, levels, etc.
• Operate electronic data collectors.
• Assist with boundary determinations and procedure analysis.
• Prepare exhibits and assist with descriptions and lot line adjustments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Associate degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering or high school diploma and equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of field experience and general engineering plan reading skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Land Development Desktop, Civil 3D (2012), Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Experience with GPS processing, TDS, and automated linework a plus
• PLS or LSIT preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
