Certificate of Correction by other than Surveyor of Record

Does anybody have a Certificate of Correction by an LS who is not the Surveyor of Record for the map being corrected that they could send me?

There is a small jurisdiction in my area that changed the name of a road through the town.
The jurisdiction filed one Certificate of Correction for 8 Final Subdivision maps that had the old name on them and a note at the end of the list that said "Together with any other maps within City Limits that reference Wrong Road as annexed into the City on this date."

Has anybody seen this before?

I had to deal with a certificate of correction by someone other than the surveyor of record. I asked several local experts, and the answer was. Anyone can file it (any surveyor).

I had to file 2 or 3 couple years ago because of a department head retiring, and we set monuments with the new surveyor tags. These particular monuments were not CL, so they wouldn't have normally been documented on corner records. (In OC, CL ties are usually filed as corner records.)

Usually, if it is possible, you want to be in communication with the surveyor of record.

I haven't seen certificate of correction used in a manner you are describing.

Certificates of Correction may be filed in order to correct something shown on a map which does affect record title interest. While I have seen them used in order to correct a Street name, or an obvious blunder in a dimension, I have not seen one which changes the calculated area of a lot. That would fall into the area of a lot line adjustment.

That looks more like a record of survey candidate with a material discrepancy, than the certificate of correction.
