About the Role
In this leadership position, you’ll oversee survey crews and technicians, manage diverse projects, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. You’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with IMEG’s high standards for quality and ethics.

What You’ll Do
• Lead and manage field crews, office staff, and deliverables for boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys
• Oversee research, scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and QA/QC for surveying projects
• Mentor and guide Survey Technicians and junior staff
• Interpret engineering and construction plans, particularly in Caltrans format
• Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and CAD-based exhibits
• Implement industry-best practices while minimizing project risk
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
What You Bring
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in California
• 14+ years of experience with a degree, or 20+ years without
• Strong knowledge of survey technology (GPS, robotic total stations), field-to-finish workflows, and CAD software
• Familiarity with Caltrans requirements and construction layout procedures
• Proven leadership and client-facing communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally

Salary Range $95,000.00- $160,000.00 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including: experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
