another reason to support Lightsquared!

LOL! Gotta love dah vendors. If I want to drive my 1983 that-looks-like-chit S-10 into the ground . . . and the "guts" work . . . it's my tangible item (ugly-truck) and my right to drive it 300,000 miles! Maybe GM was hopin' I'd change my underwear more often . . . but as long as I don't have an "accident" . . . auto or otherwise . . .
Why do we expect less from GPS vendors?
Time to hold the Vendor-Yuppies feet to the fire and make 'em try understand "customer satisfaction/loyalty" . . . and one small way to do that - don't write n' complain to the FCC on this Lightsquared thingy . . . and don't buy any new GPS equipment from Trimble, et al, until all "fixes" are repaired! And don't keep goin' out and buyin' the latest updates 'n 'quipment! By doin' such - the vendors are your partners on the "profit" side . . . you get the scrapes . . . the leftovers!
'Round-about-Example: Last night AT&T salesman campus'd the neighborhood trying to get us to jump on board for fiber-optics (which presently do not exist on our street!). "Well, Mr. YuppieMann", I say " . . . my wife has been dealing with AT&T for goin'-on-a-year to get a refund for services that were never provided by AT&T. Over $ 3k that her "account manager" has been trying to resolve. AT&T sends her a "dispute claim", whereby she MUST sign that all correspondance is to remain confidential. She refused! In fact, she's hoping Sixty Minutes will come interview her and her six inches of emails and about three hours of "story-line"! So, I told this salesman - screw us once, shame on you. Screw us twice shame on me". (Did I get that right, Dubya?) I told him ". . . WE'LL never do business with AT&T until they start "getting it" in customer support & loyalty. Like Old School Hewlett-Packard" (Those guys must be rollin' in their ashes!) In other words: Don't bend over unless you have to! We're in the driver's seat. If they (Trimble, et al) find it too much to "fix" something for their "loyal" consumers . . . then say "bye bye"!
The soap box was just sitting there . . . you just don't know who's gonna come 'long and jump on it!
Best to all for dah weekend!
