Print borders

We just purchashed a HP T610 printer for printing our maps.

We are at wits end trying to alinge the borders at 1". The X/Y correction is not consisitant and the center to page is not even close. This was never an issue with our old, HP430. We are using C&G software as have been for the past 20 years. Has anyone had this issue and how did you fix it?

Wasting paper and getting nowhere!

Russ,
I wish I could help you, but I have an HP430, thar I just bought(very inexpensive) and I am at my wits end trying to plot a 24x36 sheet that has a regular border.

Good luck and I'll be watching peoples advice to you....

I'll be watching this link also. I have a HP Designjet 500 that had been working for a couple of years perfectly with 1" borders around my 18"x24" and 24"x36" sheets, then when I upgraded to a new faster Dell computer using the same Operating system, my margins went to HE@@. After many Hours of tech support from Dell, HP, and PCsurvey. I have no fix. I now create a PDF of all "final" plots and then have them plotted out by a local survey supply co.

HP said they had heard of some of these problems but ultimately they gave up.

Good luck.

Oversize

I find using "oversize arch D" works better than "Arch D" in having a 1" border. Sometime you even have to create a "custom" sheet size.

An update.

After 1 roll of paper and much fudging, we designed a custom paper size. 24x36 is actually 24x25.8", an X offset of -0.2 and a Y offset of -0.185. In paper space we create a 2nd border 1" outside of our Map border, we snap to the outside border and we are able to print a "True" plat with 1" border.

We have not attempted a R/S on maylar yet, hopeing not to waste maylar to get the final product.

It is a relief to know we are not the only ones.

Lehman, when you upgraded, did you change the print driver? We did and I am wondering if that is the issue.
