Oh darn I have to go to Yosemite again today. Sorry Scott, there will not be time for any new pictures.

Like Jello, there's ALWAYS time for photos! Carry a small P&S digital with you and you'll never miss those "once-in-a-lifetime" photos!

Keeping it all to yourself again...such a shame.

Ric is right! I just got back from the Hat Creek area today, doing a Flood Elevation Certification on private property which the creek runs through. Forgot to take my fly rod... again. A big part of Hat Creek runs through private property and is, therefore, off-limits to the general public. It is reported to be one of the best fly-fishing areas in the country. Beets the heck out standing inside a freeway R/W!

forgetting the camera can be excused, but forgetting the fly rod, UNEXCUSEABLE.

Is Hat Creek deep enough to dive in and is spearfishing OK in California fresh waters?

RAM;
Yeah, I know it. I'll buy you a beer tonite. Ian, first, you need a high altitude cert. Second, at least 5/7mm wetsuit. This water is COLD. Third, a snorkel is probably overkill. Finally, in this case, I think a fly rod is a lot more fun.
One of my favorite dive sites is San Clemente Island. Have you made it out there yet?
