My name is Jim, and I'm a POB-aholic. RPLS.com has been down for a day, and I'm exhibiting withdrawal symptoms. I no longer know how to start my day without reading Mr. G's explanation of geodetic concepts, or Kent rubbing someone's nose in something, or Nate telling us about his wife having yet another baby, or NN wandering off into the far reaches of his own universe.

I guess I'll just have to go to work. Bummer...

I'm pretty sure my wife had something to do with it.

I had stayed away from that forum for 2 or 3 months and saw an increase in productivity, had dinner with my family most evenings, and noticed that my kids were each about 4" taller than I remembered them being (I walk by their rooms every day and pick them up from school once in a while).

And then a few weeks back, I started lurking agian. And then one day, I made a post. And then it was 2 or 3 posts a day. And then I got up to about 8 to 12 posts per day. I started missing meals with my family, and just realized that the kids have been out of school for nearly two weeks.

Yup, I'm certain my wife had something to do with it.

Oh good. I went back there the other day because it was still listed in my favorites. Entered my login and password and all I saw was a blank screen. Figured I'd been gone so long that I forgot the secret handshake, or maybe the good ole boys didn't like me no more....
