Did you pick up that rifle shell casing in the upper left corner of the second picture?

Ah yes, my favorite..the uncapped rebar. That seems to be the norm outside urban settings. I cannot stand rebar for anything other than control, but even for control, it has to be in the right type of ground.

Back to your visit. I was out there a couple of years ago, and was awestruck (for some reason) to how little they have changed that area. And the book repository building is now a museum. Anyone visiting that area should check it out.

If it's the one in this photo, I think it's a stick.

A stick? Maybe...but if so it is a stick suspiciously shaped like a shell casing and I think because of that fact more investigation is called for. In fact, upon further inspection of the picture, it actually looks like an UNspent shell with the bullet still in it...very interesting...

Of course, its a shell casing or even an unspent shell. Duh! Its Texas! They are all over the place down there.

Openup the image in my last post, go to the zoom function on your browser, punch it up to 200% or 400% and look at the item in the red oval.

that is the most amazing camoflauge I have ever seen, it really does look like a stick. Amazing what they can do now with paint.
