I have returned from the 48th CSU, Fresno Geomatics Conference organized by the students, and once again it was an outstanding conference with a great mix of talks. This years talks included Record of Surveys, Professionalism, Subdivision Map Act, and the Evolution of Surveying, to name a few.
The students received well deserved scholarships, the exhibit hall was filled with good stuff, especially the CLSA booth, and the Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society, and the auction was again a lot of fun.
If you have never been to the Fresno Conference, you should consider it in the future, just like the CLSA Conference. Those two annual conferences will give you more information and real networking with real surveyors.
Hope to see you all in San Diego at the CLSA Conference in March, where you can win a new schonstedt magnetic locator. Stop by the Mount Diablo Surveyors historical booth for more information.
