Do vB Codes work on this forum? They don't seem to for me, and never have, using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Opera.

Yes it does. I like HTML but it is always turned off. The site prefers VB but is still controlled by the administrator, so it may be on or not, I guess. Look at the FAQ tab at the top.

The status of the vB code is in the Posting Rules box at the bottom left of each thread page. I don't belive I have ever seen this set to ON.

Being able to use vB codes would make it much easier to convey cetain intent in language due to changes in text/type.

If the Admin is listening, I vote for turning on the vB codes!

At the bottom left of this screen is a box labeled Posting Rules.

Click in the vB Code is off.

It will take you to a separate page with the vB codes.

For example, if i wanted to make the word "map" bold in the following sentence, I would type:

Here is the map.

And the word "map" would appear bold with the rest of the sentence being normal.

By being able to use bold, italic, underline, color, size, etc. written word can have something approaching the inflection in verbal communication. It significantly adds to the capabilities of the website, in my opinion.
