Tom, I hope you don't mind, but your post deserves it's own thread...
Come to the OC CLSA Auction on 8-13-09
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An 11x17 reduction of the Case Book will be available to the highest bidder at Thursday Night's OC-CLSA annual auction. It is handsomely bound in an 11x17 three-ring blue binder, and the pdf has been cropped to remove the black borders which show up in the original pdf file. It is readable at this scale (approx 60% full size) and is easier to store than the full size print.
Lots of other items will be there as well, including:
Trimble 4000SE GPS,
Sokkia Set2110 total station,
Topcon Total Station,
Angel’s baseball tickets,
42†LG flat Screen,
Margarita basket,
Bronze coin commemorating the Land Ordinance of 1785
Breed and Hosmer - Elementary and Higher Surveying books (1940s)
Proof copies of "Federal Land Boundary Cases and Codes" and "California Land Boundary Cases and Codes"
and much, much more.
Proceeds go to scholarships.
It will be at JT Schmid's in Anaheim, not at First American.
If you cant make it call one of the chapter officers and give them your bid.
Hope to see you there,
Tom Propst, L.S. 6098
