From what I can tell there's no place to attach a file when sending private messages. Maybe I'm just missing it. So here's my wife's resume attached here.

Just to clarify, my wife is searching, not me. I don't want to alarm my current boss in case they're reading.
Thanks Bubble.
Ryan.

"Clean driving record and background check." eliminates me. Maybe other people too! JK. ;)

Many would not respond to an anonymous poster for a job in an unknown location... I would not.
And, from the description of duties it sounds like a survey supervisor job of some sort but listing it as a entry level tech job sounds like you would only pay minimum wage or less.
You are in a sellers market but this sounds a little demeaning.
Peter, that was my take as well

I assumed it was a recruiter fishing.

Peter,
It's possible, but a lot of people are looking for anything right now. If, in fact, there is some part time work that someone can do, even below their normal pay scale, it's better than no work at all.
Ryan.

true Ryan, but to me an anonymous poster is always suspect.
It is hard to imagine why a genuine and forthright person would hide their identity...

My No. 1 pet peeve with HR posts for Surveyors is the "Must have a valid DL" and clean record. We're not truck drivers, and most I know are good law abiding citizens (it's a requirement if you Licensed).
I find it insulting for some reason, but it's always the HR people who want it, not the LS so it's always been something I provide but they usually smooth it over some how. (No tickets the last 12 years).
I guess it doesn't hurt to get that information, once you hire them, but putting up there from the start seems like a bad foot to start with when the description of the tasks is someone who should have been doing this for awhile and would have been weeded out if they had issues. For a beginning position, like a chainman - no experience, then these issues should be brought up.
Entry level?

The position is described as entry level, yet requires a minimum of three years experience. Seems a bit contradictory to me.
To clarify

Thanks for the feedback. I am not a recruiter.
I ask that people PM me to get my contact info to avoid spammers and unsolicited phone calls (in this world your email address is golden, protect it). The clean driving record only means that you will be able to be insured on the company vehicle, usually no problem unless you have run over a few pedestrians or have more DUI's than a Hollywood teen. The job requires office and field skills, entry level meaning you will not be managing others, pay is based on experience and qualifications, location is San Pedro.
Well, Mr. Watcher

I tried clicken on my name on one of the other posts, then clicked view my profile and lo an belhold I got my name, address, phone number, interests, but no email address.
I suggest that if you don't like unsolicitated phone calls, leave your phone number off your profile, or if not, just hang up on the #######! Leave your address off to, that way no one can find ya. Better yet leave it just like it is, you aren't the only one who has a profile like that.
You are anon. near as I can tell. Every time I open my mouth on this forum, I take a chance of getting wacked, sounding stupid, learning something, maybe even being a help if I am lucky, but everyone knows who I am, or at least who I purport to be.
I like reading your stuff Watcher and please continue to contribute to the discussions. Take my comments with a grain a salt, the celtic kind. It will taste better. And I guess San Pedro is in Los Angeles. Although I thought it was a little south.
Edit the next morning: Well I just woke up and my post doesn't look as bad as I thought it might. But I am still probably viewing this thru my eyes.
