Federal Grant of Easement

Has anybody gone through the process of obtaining an easement from the federal government (Forest Service) that has a copy of a cover letter (Grant of Easement) for the legal description that they would be willing to share?

My understanding and the past dealings I have had with the USFS, is they do not grant easements, as is literaly takes an act of Congress. However each individual Forest will issue a "Special Use Permit" to access private property. They have a form they use, the description can be very simple, i.e. " FS Road 1S21 from FS road 2S34 to FS Road 2S36". Contact the your local Forest Direct and ask for the Permit Officer, may be in the Lands Department.
