FYI - unless the City Engineer or Assistant City Engineer are Pre-1982 registered CE's or licensed as a land surveyor, the description of the job would require a PLS (preparing legal descriptions, property boundary determination).

I don't know who they are to verify, but just as an FYI to the person who posted this position.

Ryan,

The City Engineer is licensed as both a PE and a PLS. I am also a PLS and very aware of the California Business and Professions Code requirements.

Lorin J. Jordan, PLS 5459

Ryan,

Yes it is a great opportunity for someone. I'm retiring soon and this is a replacement for my position, one step down in classification with possibility of future promotion. The intent is to hire a PLS.
