Transportation Surveyor (Caltrans) DWR

The State's Department of Water Resources is recruiting in order to fill an upcoming land surveying position based at the Division of Engineering's Geodetic Surveying Branch Office located in West Sacramento.
Classification and pay ranges are identical to Caltrans' Transportation Surveyor positions. Please see the Transportation Surveyor (Caltrans) exam link on DWR's website to apply. The next cutoff date for the exam is July 30, according to the announcement. Rankings will be based solely on answers to the supplemental questionnaire.
It is uncertain at this time whether Transportation Surveyor (Caltrans) lists from other Departments will be merged for the purposes of filling this position. Therefore, interested candidates are encouraged to take DWR's Transportation Surveyor (Caltrans) exam.
The upcoming vacancy will be for a field position and some overnight travel is required. It is anticipated that the position will be filled in October of this year.
