Land surveying position open for a "field to finish" surveyor.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with a high level of autonomy and have the ability to analyze and complete boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, static observations, as-built surveys, and to draft survey documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011.
Applicants need to be willing to travel to multiple states, work weekends, overtime, & be away from home for possibly weeks at a time. This position will require an applicant to be very much on call & ready to travel with as little as 24 hours notice.
Candidates must have clean driving record, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to perform all physical requirements of the position. This applicant must agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Our firm demands a lot from its team. At times the position will be stressful & very fast paced, but compensation for your time, work ethic, & the amount of work completed will be more than adequate & difficult to match especially in these tough economic times.

If you are ready for a challenge & believe you meet our requirements please send a resume & cover letter to our recruiting department. Include desired salary, & details of your experience & education.
I wonder if their pay scale makes this job worth while?

I also wonder who/what this company is.

I would guess NO! what they are paying is probably not worth it, except possible for a young, unmarried party chief with no childern or steady significant other.

The candidate is expected to perform surveys from start to finish, but nowhere in the requirements is licensure mentioned. The emphasis is on production, production, production across "many states." This outfit has "survey mill" written all over it.

The position might be a great opportunity for someone looking for intensive experience, but the professional ethics of the firm look pretty sketchy to me.

LOTS of IFs, Ands, Maybes in this job. Best not to jump in without a very good investigation first.
