I recently had a interesting call. Gentleman wanted a price for a LLA. I told him I would need the location and have to call him back. During our conversation he asked for a price 4 times. He then gave a phoney location and didn't return my call.
I think he was checking someone elses bid.

It was forwarded to me from staff at other state boards around the country. Apparently, they feel "land surveyors pain" across the nation.

While I don't think $1,000 is enough for a proper lot survey in San Francisco, maybe 30+ years ago, at least this one isn't expecting a $100 lot survey.

Yah, I had to do a double take to make sure it said $1,000 and not $100
and such a lovely area to work in . . .

Thanks for posting; I sent it to several local surveyors. I’m still on the fence as whether or no to send it to some Realtors I know.
