Anyone know of a batch program for dummies that will turn Lat-Long into Nad 83 Zone whatever?

I have a program that turns Nad83 to Lat Long in a batch format but not back.

I want to cut and paste numerous LLs and get coords.

Why won't Corpscon work for you? I run batch files all the time.

I think you will find this is the tool you need for the job. Corpscon is one of the first programs I install when ever I get a new computer or I have to reinstall windows.

we use C&G software which includes a routine to go LL to 83 or the other way.

I have a program that requires entering each lat and long by typing or cut and paste one location at a time.

I wish there was some consistency in how the data is formatted in the source file and how it has to be formatted in the conversion file.

Typing in the data is time consuming and prone to error. Too many opportunities for reading and typing errors. Cut and paste is much safer.

Then there is the blank-blank at the State Water board that decided that L&L should be submitted in decimal degrees. If you have a L/L say 62d 32m 27sec written as 62.3227 that could be DMS or decimal deg.

The Corpscon program will make this task much easier.

You can input a comma delimited coordinate dump and output a tab delimited lat & lon in decimal degrees. Easy_Peezy! Is the deliverable for Geotracker upload? I find the tab delimited output is easier for cut & paste into geo_xy & geo_z formatted xls files.

Not for geotracker this time.
