Siegfried Engineering Inc. is seeking a Land Surveyor II.
Siegfried is a multidisciplinary design firm specializing in civil engineering, structural engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying, architecture and planning. Position Summary
Siegfried has an immediate opening for a Land Surveyor II operating out of our Stockton office. In general, the duties of this position include field and office tasks related to construction staking, topographic mapping, boundary surveys and control surveys for a variety of public and private projects.
Qualifications
Licensure
• California Licensed Land Surveyor-In-Training (LSIT)
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Field experience in survey work products including but not limited to construction staking, boundary, topographic mapping, and ALTA Surveys.
• An ability to professionally communicate with peers, clients, technical staff and management.
• Experience or ability to learn to operate Leica Robotic Total Station & GPS, and LGO.
• Experience or ability to learn to operate Trimble Robotics with Trimble Access, and Trimble Business Center Advanced.
• Experience in producing staking calculations in metric and standard units.
• Public highway construction staking experience desirable.
• Office experience in completing the surveys listed above is desirable.
• Experience with RTKMAX or other regional GPS networks is desirable
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D is desirable.
• Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays is required.
Education:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying is preferred.
Experience:
• A minimum of 3 years of land surveying experience, in both field and office.
