What's the best and easiest way to research in Alameda County? What about obtaining the record maps and corner records?

Thank you,

I would contact this person in the map room.

I would see what map info. you can pull off the APN maps and then ask him what other record maps are on file. He'll e-mail you the maps for $4.50/sheet.

Or if you have the time and budget, go to their office in Hayward and do the research there. There is nothing available online yet. I heard that it was in the works.

The City has some maps that you cannot get at the County and we have found them invaluable when retracing some of the old blocks there.

The number I have for the City Public Works Dept is (510) 749-5840
A contact name that I had down is Carol E. Clarke, Assistant Engineer (510) 747-7944
