CLSA Remembers...Myron Lewis, PLS

Myron Allen Lewis Apr. 5, 1927 - May 4, 2013 Resident of Hayward Myron was called home from Pleasanton Nursing & Rehab Center after seven years of chronic Medical problems. He survived both parents, had no siblings, and never married. He grew up in Santa Rosa, graduated from High School,
attended the Community College all while maintaining two daily newspaper routes to cover expenses. Myron moved to Hayward in 1952, bought a home and began his career as surveyor for the City of Hayward, retiring in 1989 after 37 years. He was number three of the Charter Members founding the Surveyors Historical Society, a nation-wide organization, holding offices of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and on various committees over the years. He was also active in the Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical
Society, and other groups such as: National Society of Professional Surveyors, American Congress of Surveying and Mapping, Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and the
California Land Surveyors Association. Myron had a passion for music, playing the tuba, trombone, and baritone horn. He played in the Santa Rosa High School, the Community College, the Pleasanton Community bands and the Valley Brass Ensemble. He is a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pleasanton.
