No editorial comment but some important notes.
The California GIS Council administers and promotes a similar/parallel state-level SDI and has empowered a Geodetic Control Workgroup to assemble and review information for the purpose of making recommendations to the Council. The workgroup was formerly chaired by Marti ikehara and is currently chaired by Scott Martin.

The Geodetic Control Layer has moved up from 6th or 7th position on the older drafts to 1st position on the newest draft.

The Cadastral Layer is currently listed in second position.
