My response to the OP was not about Pallamary, it was a general response to continued contributions to any and all posts that reflected negativity that serves as no benefit to the members of this organization nor to others that read this forum.

American's Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Franklin, etc. were not elected to serve as a Director for the Crown. They were not simultaneously serving as the Crown and rallying against the Crown.

I am a member of this organization, corporate status to be specific, and I am one of approximately 1700 corporate members totaling approximately 2000 overall members. Directors of this organization hold the absolute highest tier of authority AND RESPONSIBILITY in this organization and represent ALL MEMBERS. A chapter elects Directors to represent, not just the chapter, but ALL MEMBERS.

I have no problem with you as a Director or any other Director arguing points of view during the Board of Director meetings that differ from the "ones that just want to go along" as you stated, as long as those points of view represent the best interests of ALL MEMBERS. And those interests and decisions move this organization in a positive direction.

What I have a problem with is that the Board of Directors takes action and makes a decision and then one or more Directors chooses to continually openly bad mouth those actions, outside of that meeting, on this forum, and in public while continually taking the responsibility of serving as an elected representative for that same organization...for ALL MEMBERS...for ME.

Yes...just to be clear and so you don't have to wonder...I am referring to your open and negative comments that you directed at this organization, and truthfully at yourself.

It wasn't that long ago that the individual we all knew as Dave Woolley offered encouragement, ideas, and overall positive support of his fellow members on this forum. That Dave Woolley appears to now be gone forever... It's sad really... In the past not everyone would have agreed with your points of view, but the comments were provided in a more positive and constructive manner. That is who the organization needs, whether all members agree with your points of view or not.

Now all we have is a person that cannot respond to anything on the forum without directing negativity towards the very organization that elected him to the highest tier of responsibility. It is the proverbial staring at oneself in a mirror.
In a professional association, the idea of suggesting someone leaves if they choose to offer a negative dissenting opinion-which may not be politically correct-is ridiculous, even though acceptable in the interest of free speech. Good on you Ric7308, I welcome your point of view-even though I could not find it any more disagreeable.
I simply cannot understand why someone would continue to serve in a role as critical and important as Director for this organization, even go so far as to proudly list that role in resumes, CV's, on their web sites, etc. and then openly bad mouth the actions of themselves and fellow Directors or Committee members.

If you or anyone else doesn't believe in this organization (i.e., England aka the Crown), feel free to leave and form another one. If you are right, all land surveyors and those they serve will benefit from your efforts (i.e., America). If that happens, I will be the first to congratulate you. But right now, in your current capacity, responsible for representing ME and MY best interests as a member of this organization, I am not happy with how I am being represented.

Ric, if you will indulge me. Under the posting protocols, your public link takes one to the State Board site. The impression that creates for many people, including those who are not surveyors and who view this site, (and there are others who do so for different reasons) - that creates the impression that your postings are being sent in your capacity as a Board member and that they speak for the Board. Whether that is your intent or not, that is the impression and impression is 99% perception. Absent some kind of a disclaimer on your part, your comments are being interpreted in ways you may either want or not want. In either case, that is the reality of things.......................

If you removed all the persons in Congress that did not agree with and outside Congress talked against Congress and/or the sitting POTUS (of whatever party was in charge) we would have no Congress. What Ric describes is a Dictatorship - agree with me or off with your head if you talk outside these sound proof walls.

This is America and we expect transparency.

America has become too PC and thin skinned and no one has all the correct answers, so disagreements should be expected.

What would be happening in San Diego today if it wasn't for Mike Pallamary our own Rebel with a Cause.
