Yes, but that's assuming all of the errors are cumulative! I always try to incorporate enough compensating error in the gps position so that I end up back over the original monument. : )

I've seen that before. Probably not all that uncommon.
I prefer finding old stuff over new reset.

I had a different version of this but have not been able to locate it - thanks for posting. I wil be putting it into my LS review sldies for our local course, good stuff.
