TWO SURVEYS

Attached is a PDF I just emailed to the client. All the gray colored lines is my work. All the red is the work of some other outfit..

How I got involved is an architect I have worked with for many years just could not make sense of anything the other outfit provided. I was also told that elevations were not needed, so all I contracted for was horizontal locations. Now it seems that I may be asked to add grades, which is a good thing I guess.

Some areas match up good, but the area near the wall is really fouled up.

Just thought I would post this since I have an easy rest of the day.

The PDF prints at 10 scale on an 11 x 17 format

Wow. There's some major differences out there. I'm assuming the red curved line at the SW is supposed to be the same thing as your gray curved concrete wall with iron rail.

It kind of looks like maybe the other guys laid it in from measurements with a tape and got something in wrong in a few places. Your detail is much greater also. Looks like the house and the most of the items in the north part are in correctly.

Some bad topo shots with some cad fudging of the curve.

Nothing creates better topo surveys than having the party chief draw one up from his notes. Esp if you can wait a few weeks to have him do it.
