I paid for my renewal online back in November. I just got a delinquency notice... They took my money, $115 + a $2.65 processing fee. Any one else have this problem?

No. I will be on their case if it happens to me when I renew in September.

Brian,

The $2.65 processing fee does not sound right since BPELSG only has a $1.00 fee for processing an online renewal. Contact Vicki at Vicki.kereszt@dca.ca.gov and be prepared to provide her a copy of your receipt confirmation or email confirmation that you received when you made your payment. Online renewals go through DCA's cashiering unit and Vicki is the one that verifies that process.

Stephen - looking forward you "getting on our case".

I paid on-line and received my wallet sized paper copy a few weeks later.

Brian, did you try and pay using Bitcoin?

If he did he probably overpaid as bitcoins are worth more than federal reserve notes.

Thanks Ric. I spoke with Vicki this morning. Unfortunately she was unable to help me. She said the same thing about the $2.65. The payment I thought I made to DCA evidently went via the third party payment processor to the Board of Equalization (BOE). I ended up paying the registration fee (again?) + the 50% penalty to get the delinquent status lifted. I have a call into the BOE to hopefully get things straightened out. I am beginning to suspect that the payment to BOE, what I thought was for my renewal, may have been for a CalFire Special assessment for the same amount.

Since you had a receipt from "attempting" to pay the renewal on time, keep in contact with Vicki about the delinquency fee once the renewal hits her desk so she can take care of that for you.

Sound advice, Robert. Sometimes I wonder myself how the Board saw fit to grant me a license.
