Surveyor II

Description: Supports the project surveyors in organizing, managing and executing the work plan for a broad range of projects including: transportation, levee, large-scale utility, and development projects.

Duties: Provides technical-level support in conventional and specialty aspects of land surveying, including research, data reduction and analysis, title reports review and analysis, legal descriptions & plats, exhibits, ACSM/ALTA Land Title surveys, topographic and utilities mapping, LiDAR feature extraction, boundaries, record map preparation, and construction staking for private and public works projects.

Qualifications:
  • Prefer up to 2 years of experience in land surveying and mapping with a BS in Geomatics or related program or a minimum 4 years of equivalent experience
  • LSIT preferred
  • Must have experience in the use of several of the following: AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Microstation/Inroads, total stations, GPS technologies and data collection systems
  • Must have working knowledge of StarNet/StarLev least squares adjustment software and MS Office Suite and be Excel proficient
  • Experience using Trimble Business Center and Carlson software is highly desirable
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism and possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to accurately follow direction/instruction and work cooperatively as part of a team
