Diversified Project Services International Inc. (DPSI) is a leader in project engineering, geomatics (surveying), planning, permitting, inspection, energy management and construction management. We serve clients in the petroleum, chemical and power industries as well as commercial and residential development, energy, public agencies, schools and agriculture.
DPSI is actively seeking a full-time SURVEY TECHNICIAN position for our Bakersfield office. This position must possess at least 4 years’ experience and be proficient in AutoCAD.
Responsibilities include:
• Complete tasks in support of surveying, mapping, utility mapping and research, legal descriptions, pot-holing and aerial mapping for clients
• Complete topographic surveys with little to no direction
• Prepare field calculations for construction projects
• Research and provide preliminary boundary analysis
• Prepare volume calculations
• Boundary resolution and preparation of legal descriptions
Requirements:
• Land Surveyor in Training is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• At least 4 years’ experience in surveying and mapping
• Valid California driver’s license
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Good verbal and oral communication
