I appreciate those that say either delay or suspend the vote on the current By-Laws revisions. They are on the right track. Not far enough for me.

I encourage all voting members to vote "NO".

I am not currently a member of CLSA and will not give this Association any more money or my time and effort until there are some important changes in how the organization is run and how decisions are made within the Executive Committee and how the business is conducted at the BOD meetings.

I recommend first having a contract with all of the Association's contract people that clearly defines their contract responsibilities, language for dispute resolution, language to define who owns what assets, and clear language for reasons of termination of the contract. Not the BS ones currently considered.

Secondly, After those roles are defined, then approach the discussion of revisions to the by-laws.

The reasons that I recommend this approach are transparent.

Stan, I have no idea who you are or anything that you have done for CLSA. Additionally, your heresay info is incomplete at best.

I, however, did spend about 10 years volunteering my time to various committees, writing legislation, writing strategic plans, teaching classes, conducting seminars, webinars, and speaking at conferences on behalf of CLSA.

I do not belong to many organizations that I vocalize opinions on. For example, the KKK, various terrorists organizations, etc.

I will, however, Stan, give your uninformed opinion the weight it deserves. I will be doing whatever I want in my retirement and speak my mind when I so desire. Unless you have been on the Ex. Comm like I was you have no idea at how things are run. I will be back with CLSA if, and when important changes take place.

Thanks, Stan,

I do not question your desire for the betterment of our profession and hope you continue to do so. I recommend that you keep personal attacks out of your correspondences.

FYI, 20 minutes after dealing with another headache from CLSA and I stated that I was going to leave - I told Dorothy and Frank Lehman that my response to many things was out of fatigue and being overextended and that I was going to fulfill my obligations. Dorothy then called me back and said "No, you are out - I am so sorry."

This has been a fascinating exchange of viewpoints. I applaud the forum administrator for allowing the discussion to continue. The character assassination has been a little tough to watch, however ...

Why the personal attacks based on hearsay?

And they do not seem to be in a "positive manner"

What was accomplished by that attack?
