CST Class in Modesto

I'm thinking about starting a class for the CST program in the Modesto/Stockton area. We'd probably meet for 1 hour a week for a couple of months to get students prepared for the CST exams. Let me know if you have someone in the area that would be interested in attending.

At this point, I don't think there would be a charge for the class. I'd like to offer it for free through the CLSA Central Valley Chapter if I can find a good place to host the meetings.

I'm trying to gauge how much demand their might be for a CST class before I commit to teaching it. If we had good support from students and surveyors willing to stop by and teach a class, I'd consider doing this on an annual basis.

You can have interested students e-mail me at sunburned.surveyor@gmail.com.

Thanks!

I think this is a cool idea Landon. Anything that can help bring younger generations into the profession is helpful.

I can tell you based on the statistics that NCEES is sharing with BPELSG, the Fundamentals of Surveying examination (FS) is becoming more and more linked to an accredited degree program. The pass rates comparing California candidates to the national average is beginning to widen and that has many worried. I'm including a recent chart that we share when speaking to monitor this.

We should be investing in our future.
