Thank you Cal Poly students and faculty, Orange County Surveyors, and particularly Dave Woolley for “rolling up your sleeves†and putting on a really enjoyable conference.
The conference was well organized and the program featured excellent talks all the way around.
Everybody’s efforts to pull off this inaugural (restart) of this conference are appreciated by many. Dave Woolley you are a credit to the Land Surveying profession!!
Thanks from me too

Thanks from me to the organizers, speakers & students who put the conference together. I was very glad I went & I hope that next year even more people will attend. It was great to catch up with some people I hadn't seen in a while, and I felt that the programs were well-chosen and relevant to our professional practice.
And thanks Tom, for the extra candy. :D
that's right

The Orange county chapter of CLSA deserves recognition for their vision in seeing a need and filing it. This chapter is leading by example and their leadership is such that I find it quite easy to follow.
Thank you for creating this wonderful opportunity

Thank you Tom, Carol, and Dane.
I want to share my wrap-up e-mail here for anyone not on the mailing list I accumulated:

I was really proud to be a small part of OC-CLSA helping the students at Cal Poly Pomona re-start their Annual Geomatics Conference.
Under Dr Neto, Allan Ng, and Steve Mendoza, they (the students) pulled off a great program that I enjoyed attending. You (this mailing list) have all seen the program of speakers and while I wish I could have seen them all speak, I was very enthralled to listen to Jay Seymour, Brandon Lopez, Dr. Neto, Tom Taylor, Bernadette Duran-Brown, Dane Ince, Dave Woolley, and Mike Pallamary. Next conference I hope to catch the programs I missed by Kurt Troxell, Mike Hartley, and John Stahl. Most of these speakers provide their programs secondary to their week jobs and graciously donated their time and travel to the student’s program. I want to thank all of the speakers for participating.
I also want to take the opportunity to thank the vendors. Their willingness to support this program with their registration fees and time show a great concern for the surveying profession and supporting the future surveyors. While I actually already do business with each of the vendors, I want them to know that those people like me may not be “new prospects†but we don’t take this support for granted!

Thank you for the honor of being asked to speak. I am very excited about this conference being revitalized. I worked with Dr. Turner and Paul Cuomo years ago on the Cal Poly conferences. The program was a good one in that it covered a lot of vital topics. - Mike Pallamary

I am very glad to have been a part of the conference. I hope this is the beginning of a new cycle of programs at Cal Poly Pomona. The Orange County CLSA Chapter seems perfectly equipped to provide the broad shoulders to support the next generation of survey professionals coming out of the school. - Dane Ince

Rich,
Thanks to you, the rest of Dave Woolley & Associates, and all the Cal Poly Pomona students and faculty.
It was a pleasure to be involved and I am grateful for the opportunity to speak on Qualifications Based Selection (sorry for the shameless self-plug).
I look forward to the next conference. Everyone did a fantastic job and I'm sure next year will be even better. Bravo!

Thank you all for your care for our program! This could have not been done without your support! The students will be involved in a post-conference debriefing to improve for next year. Hope seeing you again in Fall 2015! - Dr. Neto (Cal Poly Pomona)

I want to congratulate both the students, and the Orange County Chapter of California Land Surveyors Association, for their outstanding performance. It is rewarding to see the “next generation†land surveyors working “side-by-side†with the professionals. It takes a commitment by the profession, to educate, support, introduce, mentor, and allow the students to be exposed to the many aspects of our profession.
A special thank you to the vendors for their continual support of the profession and their dedication to sharing the newest of technology. You all are always there for the both professionals and the students.
And finally, for the staff of Cal Poly Pomona for a job well done! It is my belief, that through a partnership of both the academics and the professionals, our next-generation surveyors will be well-equipped to lead the profession for years to come. It is through education, communication, and dedication of many, that we will grow the profession.
It has been an honor for me to participate at the university for over twenty years, speaking, mentoring, and dedicating my time, energy, and efforts to educate the students. I welcome other professionals to support this outstanding program.
Cal Poly Pomona, can count of the full support of the state association, the education foundation, and the support of the neighboring chapters of California Land Surveyors, especially, the Orange County Chapter for the continued success of this conference now, and in the future!

I think the entire surveying community should thank Dave Woolley and the OC Chapter for their extraordinary efforts. Years ago I spent a lot of time and resources supporting the Cal Poly Conferences. Back then Paul Cuomo took the lead and there were some great programs and presentations. One of my most enjoyable was presenting material with Paul, Roy Minnick and Bud Uzes. In fact when Paul, Roy and I presented the Advanced Land Descriptions book, it was at a Cal Poly Conference.
I look forward to the continued success and growth of this conference and again, I want to thank Dave for filling the big shoes of Paul Cuomo. It is these kind of efforts that assure the growth and success of the surveying profession as well as promoting CLSA in a positive and constructive manner. -Michael Pallamary
