Land Surveying Technician
Waters Land Surveying, Inc. is a family owned and run firm that has been providing a wide range of land surveying services to the Santa Barbara County area for over 40 years. We are seeking to expand our team by adding an individual to provide office support to our field personnel. The ideal candidate will possess a good working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D. Familiarity with land surveying practices and workflows is desirable but not required.
Duties:
Preparing deliverables to clients in the form of topographic and boundary surveys, parcel and tract maps, easement exhibits and others as required. Provide construction calculations and exhibits to field personnel for staking. Pre-calculate parcel boundaries for use by field personnel.
Qualifications/Skills:
Required:
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk Civil 3D 2014 or newer
• Take direction and work cooperatively with a team.
Desirable:
• Autodesk Civil 3D Certified User or Professional certificate.
• Familiar with field to finish processing of field collected data.
• Experience using StarNet least squares adjustment software, Foresight DXM, Survey Office or other land surveying office software and Survey Pro field controller software.
• Land Surveyor in Training (L.S.I.T.) certification.
• Experience with land surveying software and office workflows.
