Someone Boo Boo!

Based on the math, the tie distances, and assuming that the CL point and the two tie points are a right triangle, the City notes put the distance between the two L&Ts at 43.63, not 42.9.

Should be an easy check, though. Collect all four ties...because they never get destroyed...and see what flies.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that persons are thinking there is an error based on the assumption the 29.32' tie is to a L&T located on the extension of centerline. I see nothing that states that L&T was put on the extension of centerline, and in fact the city math indicates it was not. Just because that particular tie is closely coincident to the extension of centerline, does not mean that placement on the extension of centerline was the intent. The later county measurements simply support that it was never intended to be placed on the extension of centerline. The "boo boo" appears to be simply a false assumption.

May or may not be CL Produced. Likely not based on the later record.

The 'Boo-Boo ers' was the crew that set that lead in 1924. A simple 90° at the very least off of Canada should have been turned.

It's common survey sense, a lot like when you are setting cross ties for a mid block monument, don't be an idiot and place one of the tan ties close to a lot line produced.
