I stopped giving Duke the Dachshund (he's a Doberman in his peabrain mind) treats because he would have an accident every time. So I figured the people food was going through him too fast and he couldn't get outside in time.

Of course I later found out it was the Cat trying to frame him. She got away with it several times until I quizzed the Dog's master who said, "He's been with me the whole time." Duke had an airtight alibi!

So yesterday I gave him a treat for the first time in a few weeks, a piece of leg of lamb...he almost took half my finger with it LOL.

You framed him by not being able to differentiate Cat Feces from Dog Feces. They don't look alike.

It's not so easy to tell at 3am under the bed in the dark. It smelled like cat but when I got closer it smelled like dog. The unpleasant aroma that wakes you right up!

I never punished him, there is no point; a dog knows you are angry for some reason but they have no idea why unless you catch them in the act. They just aren't that bright :-)

I can't remember the exact reason but the cat has an issue with you and that's the cat's way of expressing itself.

Still, I would not put it past a cat trying to frame a dog. LOL

Last night the cat was in a foul mood but she did try to get back in the good graces of her favorite lap.

The story I was told is that she (the cat) hissed and swiped at the lap's favorite grandson (10 months old) while I was at work which brought swift retribution from Grandmother (the cat's favorite lap) LOL.

The cat has endured a lot of change over the past few years including the introduction of a dog and a baby into the household. She doesn't seem to mind the dog as much as she minded the big male cat who met his demise 6 months ago due to a heart tumor.

There needs to be an investigation into the cat for allegedly causing a heart tumor.
