Description / Requirements
RBF Consulting, a Company of Michael Baker International, has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Analyst (GIT Technical Specialist II) to join our Surveying Geomatics team in our Irvine, CA office. The Survey Analyst’s responsibilities will include:
Ensuring project goals/objectives are met within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.
Ability to work with Autocad Civil 3d, Land Desktop and Inroads using Microstation V7 & V8.
Ability to process raw field survey data using field to finish software and create topographic maps.
Review of construction plans and perform calculations for layout and grade staking. Should have ability to prepare brief and informative staking exhibits.
Ability to use TSC2 & TSC3 data collectors. Should also be familiar with procedure to upload/download data files using TBC.
Preparation of monitoring exhibits for settlement and deformation.
Preparation of digital terrain models using combinations of data sources including aerial mapping, conventional surveys and LiDar data.
Preparation of earth quantity calculations and exhibits.
Perform mission planning and post processing for GPS surveys.
Prepare flight plans, control schemes and coordination for aerial mapping projects.
Perform mapping related research, boundary analysis, calculations, exhibits, and legal descriptions for a variety of land development and public works related projects from small infill developments to large master-planned communities and public related improvement projects throughout Southern CA.
Assist in developing and writing proposals, define scopes of work and cost/bid estimates.
Preparation of final maps, parcel maps, record of survey and ALTA maps; and preparation of legal descriptions, associated plats, and boundary analysis.
Requirements:
LSIT
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Geomatics, Engineering or related field, or equivalent in experience.
Minimum of four (4) years of Surveying Geomatics experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Must have solid communication skills both verbally and written.
Knowledge of California Subdivision Map Act and Land Surveyors Act, and a thorough knowledge of drafting standards and processing project requirements.
