Lassen County Surveyor (Licensed Land Surveyor)

Lassen County is located in notheastern California and is the fourth largest County in the State. The incorporated City of Susanville is the County seat, where a community of 10,000 is set in the scenic upper Honey Lake Valley, against a backdrop of forested mountains of the Northern Sierra Nevada and Southern Cascade ranges, and high desert to the east.
The County Surveyor (Licensed Land Surveyor) performs professional and technical work as it relates to the County Surveyor including review and approval of records of survey, parcel maps and subdivision maps; review and comment on land devopment proposals; land surveying activities in the office and in the field; prepare legal land descriptions; research property ownership; and correct and maintain records such as, parel maps, final maps, records of survey, lot line adjustments, and corner records. Responsible for the County addressing system.
Minimum requirements: Experience: Two years of responsible professional surveying.Five years of related experience preferred. Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in surveying preferred. License: Possession of a valid California driver's license. In accordance with Section 8725 of the California Business and Professionals Code, possession of either a valid license as a Land Surveyor, or, possession of a valid certification of rergistration as a Civil Engineer awarded prior to 1982, issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is required.
Salary: $27.23-$32.87 Hourly, plus benefits
