Land Surveyor/Party Chief

Landset Engineers, Inc. in Salinas, California has an immediate opening for a full-time Land Surveyor/Party Chief. Projects include field surveys for ALTA, topographic and boundary surveys, and construction staking acting as Party Chief for a one or two-person field crew. Job duties include the following:
- Preparation of field notes and sketches, layout coordination and calculation sheets, data entry
- Research boundary and easement title documents to assist in boundary analysis
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software to produce detailed subdivision maps, record of surveys, corner records, topographic surveys, and various other maps or exhibits
- Prepare legal descriptions
We require a minimum of 5 years qualifying survey experience as a Party Chief or Survey Technician. Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is preferred. Applicant must be proficient in the use of robotic total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors. Excellent AutoCAD skills are necessary, as are proficiency in Word and Excel. Excellent attendence, punctuality, and reliability are essential. Pay is commensurate with experience.
