Los Angeles County Public Works is getting ready to expand our ePlan Check submittals to include Corner Records and Records of Survey. We currently accept on-line submittals for all subdivision infrastructure improvement plans, building plans and tract/parcel maps.

I am curious if any other Counties in the State offer electronic submittal for CR/ROS plats? We currently use BlueBeam as the digital mark up tool for ePlan Check. Submittals are in PDF format. Thanks in advance.

OC Accepts RS and CR first and subsequent submittals via PDF using Box. CR's can be submitted for filing via PDF as well. RS's go through full review as a PDF, but then to Mylars for recording. You submit everything straight to the box including closures, PDFs of Deeds and Maps.

Riverside, is reviewing and returning comments and resubmittals via PDF (San Diego Co. did this the last time I submitted a map about 5 years ago). Not sure if they accept the first submittal as a PDF though. I'm sure you can contact their staff and find out how it is going.

From my point of view, the less paper the better. Although you couldn't look at my desk and say that I really feel that way.

San Diego allows submittals for CR via email, still have to provide final document on card stock for indexing. Hard copies are required for all ROS submittals. A couple of years ago I attended a conference workshop by a Utah County Surveyor where all ROS are submitted and recorded electronically, I seem to remember the examination fee was $20.00.

I will accept submittals for check by email with pdf attachments as long as you submit all info. I do not have the time to look up your references.

but I need hard copy for filing.

I am exploring requesting a dwg of boundaries so that it can be imported into our GIS to improve our parcel layer.
Any thoughts on that would be appreciated.
