Hi,

I would like to solicit ideas from you good folks over educational subjects. Can you share your thoughts on preferred topics? Also, if so inclined, your preference as to presentations. One or two days and cost?

Thanks

1.) The different geodetic needs of the geophysicist and the geodetic surveyor.
2.) Management decision factors on choosing between the many different mapping methods available.
3.) The differences between various different types of GISs, their appropriate uses, and the role of the surveyor in producing and maintaining them.
4.) Measurement and boundary surveys. How, why, and when is a measurement used in the decision process of the boundary surveyor. (when is it statistically relevant?)
5.) A history of CLSA, it's role to California Land Surveyors, advancements to the profession brought about by CLSA's efforts, and the future direction of CLSA.
6.) Laws affecting government A&E contracts, producing a qualifications based submittal, recommendations on handling the selection process, and anything else related to be a government contractor.
7.) Anything and everything related to safety of the field surveyor.

Yes, Safety. The proper placement of cones/signs when in or near traffic. CalTrans had a great seminar on that about 20 years ago.
