Job Description
MHM, Incorporated is looking for an experienced professional land surveyor to join our Marysville team. Candidates with 10-15 years hands-on experience in surveying and mapping of land development and public infrastructure projects are encouraged to apply. Prior work experience in land development and public works related infrastructure project is required.

Desired Skills and Experience
The candidate should have an Associate of Arts in Surveying or a Bachelor of Science in a related field and be a licensed professional land surveyor in the state of California. Knowledge of land surveying terms, methods, and principles is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is also required. Expertise in ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS) and survey field experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who thrives in a team-oriented, client-driven work environment.

Responsibilities will include assisting Senior Surveyors and Project Managers with project surveying and mapping assignments, boundary surveys, ALTA's, topographic surveys, final maps and records of survey. Candidates must have the ability to coordinate with other surveying and engineering staff and technicians as well as be able to understand and articulate surveying issues and criteria. Strong surveying judgment and the ability to problem solve in a team environment are critical.

Our surveying department utilizes advanced technology and equipment in both field and office operations to undertake a wide variety of survey tasks. Typical surveying projects include property boundary surveys, aerial control surveys, topographic and bathymetric surveys, and the preparation of basemapping for engineering design. We also provide surveying services in support of right-of-way acquisition. Our surveyors have extensive experience in construction surveying, including quality control surveys. With our versatile capabilities in both engineering and surveying, MHM is able to accomplish a wide variety of projects, and we are able to take a project from the initial planning stages to construction completion.
