Your Duties:
Stantec Consulting, Inc. is seeking a California Professional Land Surveyor to work in the Irvine, CA office. Tasks may include office review and coordination of: site control; boundary reconnaissance; construction staking; topographic surveys; 3D scanning, and other surveying services in support of engineering work. You will also be responsible for review of maps, field notes, and exhibits; performing construction staking calculations for improvements and utilities; scheduling, budgeting, and client/contractor interaction for surveying projects.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
•Minimum 1-year experience as a Professional Land Surveyor in responsible charge.
•Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Land Development Desktop required.
•Experience with Trimble Business Center, MicroSurvey/StarNet, and related software a plus
•Must have a good driving record and Valid Driver’s License.
•Ability to gather and organize survey research and records.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents.
•Ability to prepare calculations, alignments, and instructions for field work.
General qualities:
•Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work well with a project team.
Prior to employment you will be required to pass a drug/alcohol screen.
