Are parcels contigious if they just touch at one corner?

For purposes of transferring density allowances from one property to another, applicant wants to create one tentative map over two parcels that share only a common corner. Are parcels that touch only at a single corner considered contiguous per SMA 66424? My initial thought is that since the definition of "contiguous" is pretty broad, even encompassing those in near proximity, we'd probably be OK interpreting the corner as contiguous. I have just never seen it before, so I'm a little wary.
