Land Surveyor Office Position (San Diego)

San Diego Engineering and Surveying Firm is seeking to fill a challenging opportunity for a self motivated, energetic, analytical, highly competent, customer-focused Surveying Professional.
Candidate submitting resumes should enjoy being on the leading edge of surveying technology, including the desire to learn 3D Laser Scanning.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 1-3 years of office surveying experience, possession of a valid California LSIT certificate is desired but not necessary.
Under the direct supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor, candidate responsibilities will include planning, assigning, reviewing and producing final deliverables for every survey product. Essential Job Functions Include:
1) Knowledge of field/office surveying methods, practices, techniques, legalities and mathematical procedures for surveying.
2) Knowledge of elementary principles and practices of surveying for engineering projects.
3) Ability to understand and interpret legal descriptions and record survey maps; understanding and interpreting engineering plans, diagrams, and notes.
4) Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy, plan and organize the work as a 1 man or 2 man field survey crew to achieve optimum efficiency.
5) Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to supervise, train, and evaluate subordinate field survey personnel.
Excellent compensation package including: annual bonus, profit sharing plan, 401(K) plan, ESOP, and medical insurance.
