WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING a SURVEY TECHNICIAN for our WEST LOS ANGELES office. West Los Angeles is known for its many popular recreational opportunities and our office is conveniently located adjacent to the soon-to-open Expo MetroLink Commuter line.

SURVEY PROJECTS INCLUDE Roads and Utility Infrastructure for Public Agencies * Oil and Gas Production Facilities * Refineries * Pipelines * Solar Power Generation * Water Treatment Facilities * Industrial Process Plants * Commercial and Residential Developments * Schools, Universities, and Institutional Facilities * Military Base Facilities and Housing.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Under general supervision of a survey crew chief or project manager, a Survey Technician is responsible for executing routine field and office surveying tasks. For a detailed description on job duties, visit http://www.CannonCorp.us and click on “Careers”.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Minimum 3 to 4 years field surveying experience.
• Academic course work and training certification credits in land surveying.
• Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Certificate or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or a related field highly desirable.
• Familiar with geometry and trigonometric principles, standard surveying concepts, practices and procedures used in the land surveying profession.
• Basic knowledge of set-up and operation of surveying equipment and laser scanning equipment.
• Basic knowledge of the following:
-- Land Surveyor’s Act and Subdivision Map Act.
-- AutoCAD and MS Office software (including Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Familiar with field feature coding using descriptor codes and auto line work commands.
• Must have valid driver’s license with a “clean” driving record.
• Current automotive insurance required.
• Must pass background and security clearance checks and drug screening.
