I'm looking for a website that will convert CCS27 (California State Plane Coordinate System of 1927) to Lat/Long; any recommendations?
Thanks!

Go to the NGS site: http://geodesy.noaa.gov/TOOLS/spc.shtml

It is free - It is correct

What are you going to do with NAD27 Lat/Longs?

Note that there is quite a lot of difference from NAD83 Lat/Longs

Thanks all!

Steve, they will be used to get a general location so I can put together an access strategy through rough terrain.

Steve...to fine tune my question, I need to convert from CCS27 to NAD 83 Lat/Long. Any suggestions?

Well, since all conversions are approximate, I would find a couple of control points with both CCS27 and CCS83 coordinates and come up with an average translation for the local area you are working in. Apply that translation to any CCS27 coordinates you want to convert, the average translation should be close enough for general location.

If you need NAD83 lat/long to navigate, then go to the NGS website under tools > geodetic tool kit and use the State Plane Coordinate tool to convert from CCS83 coordinates to CGC83 lat/long.
